Details This awesome Rickenbacker is a 1976 4000 (as it started out) as a single-pickup model, someone eventually routed it for a neck pickup and added controls so it would be more like a 4001S model. The Burgundyglo finish is beautiful as is the piece of rosewood used for the fretboard. There’s playwear appropriate for its age throughout the bass; a crack in the body on the treble side under the pickguard – likely which happened when it was routed for the second pickup. The bass originally had a stereo output but is now wired in mono. It plays wonderfully and includes the original case.
